My favorite time of year is here! Flower season! I feel like I spend March through June chasing some sort of flower and guess what, I’m totally here for it. April brings us a unique and distinctively Texan experience…. Bluebonnets! For many Texans, bluebonnets are a symbol of the state’s natural beauty and heritage. Getting a professional photo taken among the bluebonnets can be a great way to capture and celebrate this connection to Texas.
A bluebonnet photography session is a wonderful opportunity to capture beautiful and timeless images of your children in the great outdoors. Kids love running and playing in fields of flowers, and a Dallas bluebonnet photo session offers the perfect opportunity for them to explore and have fun while capturing beautiful family memories.
My Dallas bluebonnet session are scheduled for the weeks of April 10 and 17. Mother nature is in charge, so if they happen to bloom early or late we will adjust the calendar accordingly.
I will be providing beautiful dresses and gowns for little girls’ size 3 -10. The week before your session I will show you a few dresses I have in mind for your little ones, and you can pick the ones you would like for me to bring. Regarding family photos, I always remind people to dress for the location. Moms will look beautiful in a long flowing sun dress and dads in casual pants and shirts. For bluebonnets I suggest bright bold colors. I love reds and yellows in a sea of blue! We will go over this in more detail, as well as my comprehensive preparation guide once your sessions is booked.
No, these are not mini sessions. My style of photography is fun and full of movement and story. While we will take at least a few “look at the camera and smile” type photos that is not my goal with your session. I want to capture your connection with your sweet babies and not feel rushed. My work is with mostly young children and many times they need time to warm up to a new location. I like to take my time and not rush through a session. I wish your time with me to be an event and an experience.
Wildflowers are in May and make for equally as beautiful photos! I am also booking these, but more details will come in the following weeks!
