Hi there! I’m Stephanie, an award-winning photographer of all things beautiful located in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex! I’ve loved playing with children ever since I can remember! I was a dance teacher for many years focusing on younger kids and tweens. I studied Dance at the University of Texas at Austin and I love incorporating movement into photos of children (because let’s face it, what child is ever still?).

When should I book my newborn photography session?
Most families book their newborn photography session during the second trimester to reserve a spot around their baby’s due date. Newborn portraits are typically photographed within the first 5–14 days after birth when babies are still sleepy and naturally curl into those adorable poses.
Where is your photography studio located?
Dahlias and Daisies Photography is located in the Dallas area and serves families throughout Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Richardson, McKinney, and the surrounding DFW communities. My studio is location in McKinney, Texas inside the McKinney Cotton Mill.
What should my baby wear for newborn photos?
Most newborn portraits are photographed using soft wraps, textured fabrics, and delicate outfits provided by the studio. Parents are welcome to bring sentimental items, but everything needed for a beautiful newborn session is available.
What age is best for a cake smash photoshoot?
Cake smash sessions are typically scheduled when babies are between 11 and 12 months old so families have photos ready for their child’s first birthday celebration.
Do you photograph siblings and family during newborn sessions?
Absolutely. Many families love including siblings and parents in newborn portraits. These images create beautiful keepsakes that document the very beginning of your baby’s story. Parent and sibling photos are done on different days than the newborn shoot so we can focus on the newborn during their shoot.

Do you photograph families outdoors?
Yes. While many sessions take place in the studio, outdoor family sessions are also available throughout the Dallas area at beautiful local locations. Once you have booked your session I will send my gorgeous location guide over so you can pick the location that speaks to you most!
